KTM’s Marvin Musquin became the second rider to win the $1 million prize at the 2017 Monster Energy Cup, held in Sam Boyd Stadium on Oct. 14.

Musquin was able to secure the $1 million after winning all three, 10-lap, main event races in the sport’s largest all-star exhibition Supercross race. Ryan Villopoto is the only other rider to win the $1 million prize in the history of the event.

A crash in the first race resulted in 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Champion Eli Tomac sitting out the remaining two races which left the door open for Musquin to win the overall.

While Anderson seemed to put the pressure on Musquin at times, a 2-2-2 finish in the three races put him second overall.

Anderson’s teammate, Dean Wilson, finished third overall with a third, fifth and third in the three main events.

Cody Webb Stays Consistent

At Round 3 of the 2017 AMA Endurocross Championship on Oct. 14 in Everett, Wash., Cody Webb claimed his third consecutive win and extended his points lead over defending AMA Endurocross champion Colton Haaker.

A crash on the first lap left Haaker battling through the field to catch Webb.

By the third lap, Webb had moved into the lead and remained there until taking the checkered flag over Trystan Hart, who finished second.

Haaker was able to work his way up to third.

Webb’s win gave him a 10-point lead in the championship points, as three rounds remained in the series.
