Tariff Proposal Dropped

The AMA joined the Motorcycle Industry Council and others to defeat another proposed tariff on motorcycles, parts and accessories.

The U.S. Trade Representative had tried to use motorcyclists as a lever against the European Union and the United Kingdom.

This effort was the third by the Trade Representative to include motorcycles and accessories in the tariff discussions. Motorcyclists and the manufacturers have prevailed each time in getting motorcycles and accessories removed from
the proposal.
