Through Dec. 23: AMA District 2 Polar Bear Grand Tour

July 13-Aug. 13: Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge

Starting in Medicine Park, Okla., the route is nearly 10,000 miles, entirely within the lower 48 states, traversing scenic byways and passing through several national parks and Native American reservations. Info: hokaheychallenge.com.

Through Dec. 15: SCMA USA Four Corners Tour

This AMA Grand Tour offers two USA Four Corner Tours: the “Regular” and the “True X.” You choose your ride. Info: sc-ma.com/rides/usa-four-corners-tour-site.

Through Dec. 15: SCMA USA 15 Best Roads Tour

This challenge started in the spring of 2011 after the AMA published a “Best 15 Roads” article in American Motorcyclist. Two riders took the challenge that year: Kathy and Larry Lamarche from Canada. Through Dec. 15: SCMA California Adventure Series

The California Parks Adventure challenges riders to visit all 25 national parks in California within a calendar year and document each visit with a photograph and a stamp from the visitor center. Info: sc-ma.com/rides/california-parks-adventure.

Through Dec. 15: SCMA California Missions Tour

The 21 Spanish missions extend from San Diego to the Sonoma Valley. Riders obtain a photo of themselves at each location. Info: sc-ma.com/rides/california-missions-parent/california-missions-tour.

April 1-Oct. 31: Tour of Honor

This AMA Grand Tour allows riders to chart any route to seven memorial sites in each state. Riders can visit as many selected memorials as they choose,
completing one state or many. Register and
get a rally flag, then photograph the flag with your motorcycle at each memorial. Info: tourofhonor.com.

Aug. 30-Sept. 5: SCMA 43rd Annual Three Flags Classic

This six-day event includes four days of riding and a banquet. It is an endurance event, not a race. Riders visit Canada, the United States and Mexico. A preferred route is supplied, but riders may take any route, as long as they reach three checkpoints and the finish within the times allotted.
