Tax credits extended for electric motorcycles

U.S. Spending Bill Makes Credits Retroactive

The federal spending bill agreed to in December extends tax credits for electric motorcycles, as well as fuel-cell vehicles and home electric vehicle charger installations, making the credits retroactive to 2017, according to a report at Electrek.com.

The bill includes a 30 percent rebate on costs associated with the installation of a home charging station, a 10 percent credit (up to $2,500) on two- or three-wheeled electric vehicles and a $4,000 credit for the purchase of a new fuel-cell vehicle.

The credits expire at the end of 2020.
