Steve Salisbury, AMA government relations manager for off-highway issues, addressed the riders meeting of the Shenandoah 500 AMA National Dual Sport event in Mount Solon, Va., assuring riders that the AMA continues to protect their access to public lands.

The event is organized by the Washington Area Trail Riders to promote the sport of off-road motorcycle riding while serving the communities through charitable gifts and support.

WATR helps fund youth programs, food banks, fire departments and EMS units in the Shenandoah Valley. WATR also directly supports Forest Service operations financially and with manpower to help maintain trails.
