Some Changes For MotoAmerica In 2018
Three New Classes Added With Class Structure Redesign
MotoAmerica, the home of the AMA Superbike Championship, announced in October that it will be making changes to its class structure for the 2018 racing season.
Three new classes will be added—Stock 1000, Twins and Junior Cup. The Junior Cup will take the place of the KTM RC Cup class. New rules for the Superbike and Supersport classes blend parts of both the current Supersport and Superstock 600 technical rules.
With the addition of the new classes, Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 will no longer be incorporated in the Motul Superbike and Supersport classes.
The series also will offer more than $1 million in prize money for the 2018 season.
