Arizona Plans New Off-Road Park

Bouse Project Would Connect To Peace Trail

A new Arizona state park in Bouse specifically intended for OHV use has been announced by the state’s off-highway vehicle coordinator.
Matthew Eberhart of the Arizona State Parks & Trails department told the Parker Pioneer that the new park will provide access to the 750-mile Arizona Peace Trail, which connects Yuma, Ariz., and Bullhead City, Ariz.

The proposal has received approval from the state Off-Highway Vehicle Advisory Group, the Arizona Outdoor Recreation Coordinating Commission and the Arizona State Parks & Trails Board, pending a draft master plan.

The OHV park concept came from the Bouse Ghost Riders OHV Club, which sought a state grant to build a staging area for the Peace Trail.
