Olivera wins inaugural East vs. West event

Dante Olivera was the fastest rider at the inaugural West Hare Scramble Championship East vs. West event Oct. 6. The KTM rider took the overall win by 25 seconds over second-place finisher Devan Bolin. Third place went to Beta rider Kyle McDonal. Championship points leader Trystan Hart was unable to compete in the event, and championship contender Max Gerston took advantage of Hart’s absence. Despite shattering one of his fingers four weeks before the event, Gerston scored a sixth-place finish to cut Hart’s lead to 20 points with one round to go in the 2018 season.
