New AMA Extreme Off-Road series coming in 2020
Two Series Include Nine Events, More Ways To Qualify For Tennessee Knockout
Extreme off-road competitors will have additional opportunities to take part in AMA-sanctioned extreme off-road events in 2020.
The new AMA Extreme Off-Road East Series and AMA Extreme Off-Road West Series include a total of nine events that take place in seven states. The two series offer riders 96 opportunities to qualify in advance for the 2020 Tennessee Knockout, which serves as the AMA Extreme Off-Road Grand Championship.
The 2020 Tennessee Knockout takes place Aug. 14-16 at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie, Tenn.
Riders who finish in the top 10 at any of the nine rounds skip the Saturday morning TKO 1 competition at the Tennessee Knockout and compete in Saturday afternoon’s TKO 2. The top three riders from each qualifying series—who are not on the “invited riders” list—skip Saturday’s TKO 1 and TKO 2 and compete against the world’s best extreme off-road riders in the Sunday pro races.
The 2020 AMA Extreme Off-Road East Series and AMA Extreme Off-Road West Series schedules are found on page 39 of this magazine.
