(L-R) Hannah Lopa, MotoAmerica partner Chuck Aksland, Jason Pridmore, MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey and Greg White. White, Pridmore and Lopa will return to the MotoAmerica Series in 2019 as the talent for the new FS2 broadcasts of the championship.

For 2019, MotoAmerica fans will have three ways to follow their favorite racers and stay up to date on the latest stories from the paddock.

The 2019 MotoAmerica season kicks off April 5-7 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

How To Watch

Fox Sports 2: Live or same-day coverage of all MotoAmerica Superbike races. The 90-minute programs may also feature highlights from other racing classes.

NBC Sports Network: Feature-style show with highlights of the previous MotoAmerica round, as well as in-depth interviews and stories from the MotoAmerica paddock.

MotoAmerica Live+: The series’ subscription-based video streaming service. Subscribers will have access to live and on-demand coverage of races from all five MotoAmerica classes, as well as some practice and qualifying sessions.

3 questions with MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey

American Motorcyclist: How did the 2019 TV/digital broadcast coverage deal come together?

Wayne Rainey: It started back in July when [2018 broadcast service] beIN SPORTS told us that we should start looking around for other opportunities. [MotoAmerica COO] Chuck Aksland immediately went out and started contacting all the networks. We ended up with what we believe is a truly comprehensive package of TV and digital programming for our series.

AM: How does the new broadcast coverage deal fit into MotoAmerica’s overall business strategy?

WR: When MotoAmerica first started in 2015, it was penciled into our business plan that in year five we would bring our television production in-house.

Our plan called for us to do our own production; because it would allow us to open up so many opportunities with the different ways of bringing our series to our existing fans and to new fans.

AM: What else would you like to get across to MotoAmerica fans about the 2019 broadcast coverage package?

WR: Well, this is what the fans have asked for since we started MotoAmerica, and I can speak for everyone at MotoAmerica when I say it makes us extremely proud that we have been able to pull this off.

Greg White on broadcast coverage

The series is sticking with the broadcast team that was a staple of its television coverage on beIN Sports.

Announcer Greg White and analyst Jason Pridmore return to the broadcast booth, while Hannah Lopa covers the action on hot pit lane.

American Motorcyclist: What can MotoAmerica fans look forward to?

Greg White: FS2 and NBCSN will provide both race coverage and “take the helmet off the racer” type of feature-style programming.

And even if you can’t watch it all live, MotoAmerica Live+ subscribers will have an option to view it again and again and again.

AM: What are some new things that MotoAmerica will be doing with the broadcast coverage in 2019?

GW: We have a host of new broadcast team members that are coming to work with new ideas.

Our directors have Dorna/MotoGP/World Superbike experience and are the highest caliber of racing story tellers.

I can tell you that, as a broadcast team, we will tell more personal stories of racers and teams. Building heroes is key to growing the series. People root for and get invested in people.
